So Saturday saw us take a family outing to the famous and ridiculously busy markets - in amongst brilliant sunshine and heavy downpours.
We ooh'd and ahh'd over all the antiques and vintage wares on offer, and partook of many coffees and the odd chocolate-covered cream bun.
and Hongi's...
and cups of tea while children slept...
But most importantly, there was quality time spent with Granny and Pop before they head back to the other side of the world.
We also visited the cute little bookstore made famous from the movie 'Nottinghill' but I didn't get any decent photos to share, sorry.
But yes it is there and yes it is very cute (if not a bit touristy).
Hugh Grant wasn't working there though. Shame.
A fun and memorable day out together.
We always love any opportunity to Portobello Market it.
oh wow...I didnt realise there was an actual bookstore from the movie...too cool!

ReplyDeleteI want to visit Nottinghill and I love bookstores... independently owned are better. I know how much grandparents love their grandkids, how sad they're leaving soon. I love that photo of Austin holding Beni with that crazy black (hat?) piece. Too cute! xx
ReplyDeleteThinking of Granny and Pop at the moment. They will have many wonderful memories to cherish xx
