{Mothering Sunday}

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.  She never existed before.  The woman existed, but the mother, never.  A mother is something absolutely new.  ~Rajneesh

Yesterday {on this side of the world} was Mother's Day.

This is always a day I enjoy because, not only am I thanked for being a mother, but it is a day spent in incredible gratefulness that I AM a mother and for the wonderful mother I have.

I am so very grateful that I have been blessed enough to become a mother to 2 (soon to be 3) children.
I do not take this role for granted nor the responsibility lightly.
It is a day that I am, once again, reminded of God's goodness.
It is a day spent with a heart full-to-the-brim.

Because it was Mother's Day I felt it was necessary for my boys to mark the occasion appropriately with their attire. So they wore their Sunday Best shirts with a bow-tie (Beni) and tie (Luca).

I quickly whipped these up on Saturday from an old cushion cover - all very experimental but I am pleasantly surprised and pleased in the finished products. They look so darn CUTE!

I was greeted in the morning with a glass of juice from Luca (of which he promptly drank half), and a plate of scrambled eggs on homemade bread.
My husband is awesome. My children are adorable. I am so very grateful.

Linking up with Life Made Lovely Monday here.
