On this New Year's Eve

This is the scene from our lounge at present. Children being very mellow, still exhausted from their sicknesses and with oh.so.much.snot. It really grosses me out. I don't handle snot very well...
We are happy to be staying put today. Austin and Luca just baked some yummy bread that has filled the house with it's welcoming, sweet smell. The parents have a glass of red, Future of Forestry is playing possibly the most beautiful version of 'Pie Jesu' I have heard (click on the link to find out for yourself), for now all is well.
This afternoon I look forward to sitting down in my favourite spot in the lounge by the bay window and doing some more crochet. Sounds nanna-ish? Probably, but I'm doing it to keep my child's feet warm, and ok I enjoy it also. Just wait till you see what I'm making and you'll (hopefully) be impressed!
One of the great things about where we live is that we have an extraordinary view over the city of London as we are quite elevated. And so every New Year's Eve we possibly have one of the best views of the numerous firework displays that take-off at midnight. Therefore I don't feel so bad about staying put for now.

A very Happy New Year to you as you enter 2012. May you be blessed in this brand new year. X
