Unexpected Satisfaction

Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures.

Sunrise from our bedroom window yesterday morning.

As I pulled up the duvet on Luca's bed this morning, folded his pyjamas and straightened his pillow, an unexpected wave of extreme satisfaction filled me and made my heart do a little leap as it recognised some almost forgotten emotions:

I would never have imagined or dared to believe that I could find so much fulfilment in being a Stay At Home Mamma and in all the various degrees of 'chores' that go along with this role.

Sure, it's possibly the hardest job I've ever done, but hear me now - I am loving it!
Being at home with my children has made me feel so...complete. Is that weird?

This feeling of Satisfaction is quite unexpected.

But I'm liking it.
A lot.

  1. nice Brigitte. I feel very much the same (though have my moments!) xx

  2. Beautiful photo of the sunrise! I feel the same way - don't want it to end! Enjoy - they grow up so fast.

  3. Me too, contentment. Even from things like having planned and shopped for a weeks worth of meals, or the floors being washed (not often enough!). Now my 2nd is off to school I'm not quite sure how I'm going to feel!

I love hearing from you! Please leave a comment X
