Friendship

I love watching the friendship develop between Luca and his best friend Miss J. There's nearly a year's difference in age but this hasn't stopped them. As I watch them interact I realise I can learn so much from them - learning from a couple of 2 and 3 year olds, now that's humbling!
Their friendship is unconditional, uncomplicated, simple, easy, fun.
They simply enjoy 'being' with each other.
And when they've been apart and they see each other again, they simply pick up where they left off.

Life is made beautiful by friends.
I have never been someone who has bucket-loads of friends. I tend to keep the numbers small but with lots of value. I have a small pocketful of wonderful friends who I keep close and who help make this life of mine beautiful.

The following quotes are given with them in mind.

"Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things"  ~Author Unknown

"A true friend is one who thinks you are a good egg even if you are half-cracked"  ~Author Unknown

"A friend accepts us as we are yet helps us to be what we should"  ~Author Unknown

"Only your real friends will tell you when your face is dirty"  ~Sicilian Proverb

"It takes a long time to grow an old friend"  ~John Leonard
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive"  ~Anäis Nin

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.  "Pooh!" he whispered.  "Yes, Piglet?"  "Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw.  "I just wanted to be sure of you."  ~A.A. Milne

"When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.  The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares"  ~Henri Nouwen
